Becoming a popular Club event this, although unofiicial, we had 14 members boats for the weekend and along with the Seamaster Club and the Wooden Boats, the Yacht Station was full up.

Lucky with the weather, the whole weekend was sunny and warm. On Carnival Day, this years club theme was Mexican, the girls resplendent and the guys in ponchos made by Sandra and Pip from charity shop curtains! The Carnival procession was excellent as always and hundreds of spectators watched it pass by.

After the procession, Ken decided it was 'Pimms o'clock' and he and Jen provided us all with the refreshing cocktail. Several of us ventured over to the fun fair afterwards and went on some of the rides. We got the BBQ's going in the evening and sat outside until about 9.30pm after a most enjoyable day.

Some of us stayed on at Beccles for a few days enjoying the lovely weather before making our way down to Oulton Broad for the Bank Holiday weekend.
