What a great weekend we all had at Beccles. So sorry that some of our members were not able to join in the fun due to the inoperable Reedham Bridge. It is hoped that Network Rail will soon get the problem sorted.
The main event on Saturday kicked off with a games afternoon, with the usual frolics and Ken's masterful scoring! The winning team was TheJesters. Following the games, barbeques were lit carefully, away from grassed areas, before all gathered in the gazebos for a game of Bimgo and the draw for the pot of gold.
What a variety show we had in the evening, OBMBC’s Got Talent! I started the music entertainment followed by a special guest, Bonaventura Bottone, affectionately known as Bon; he sang from La Boheme - Che Gelida Manina followed later by Nessun Dorma from Turandot to rapturous applause. Bon is a friend of Wally Webb and he may be able to come to the fun day next August.
We also had performances from Bim (singing and telling stories) Graham (singing and telling the drunken children’s presenter story) Ivan (singing) Ian Fulcher (singing Elvis). Wally Webb (Telling a Broads Ghost Story) Bob (singing) and Hilda who gave us a recital of the ‘Lion and Albert’.
All in all it was a grand do! Thanks to everyone who took part and helped make it a successful weekend.

Everybody had gone by Monday leaving Dave and Barbara, Ray and Margaret (Who moor at Beccles) and Sandra and me.
A big thank you to Dave Tedstone who collected and helped me fit a new starter battery.
Dave and Barbara and Sandra and I had to leave on Friday and Saturday to make space for the 41 wooden boats that were booked in!
See you at Surlingham.
